Lola the Boston Terrier
by Boston Terrier Rescue BTCCR-Ontario

Lola is a 1 year old female Boston terrier who is nothing short of a miracle! Lola was literally taken off the euthanasia table as she lay in restraints, waiting to be put to sleep. Poor Lola had been owned by a person who thought that a diet of bread and milk was sufficient for a growing Boston terrier puppy. Shaking and emaciated, Lola was also missing large patches of fur due to malnutrition. Dumped at the shelter, the decision was made to euthanize Lola, as in her weakened condition shelter staff mistakenly felt this sweet young girl was beyond saving. Fortunately, a compassionate shelter worker contacted Boston Terrier Club of Canada Rescue and Lola was immediately brought into the our rescue program. After receiving necessary veterinary care and some much needed TLC, we are happy to report that delightful Lola is now loved and spoiled by her wonderful new family in Kitchener, Ontario.

Meet HOGAN - our little hero!
by Boston Terrier Rescue BTCCR-Ontario

Hogan is an adorable Boston terrier puppy who suffers from a condition known as cerebellar hypoplasia. His brain did not grow properly while he was in utero and because of this Hogan is unable to move without assistance. He can stand with help but balance problems prevent him from walking unassisted. Hogan is a bright and happy puppy that loves attention. Very alert and playful he loves toys and plays with them by wiggling his feet. He is a typical Boston terrier puppy in personality but sadly, he cannot do the same things that other puppies can do. Hogan is a little hero and he loves life – you can see it in his eyes! He was just given a body that doesn’t work properly. It is his determination to live, love, and play that makes his situation so heartwrenching. He wants so much to interact with his foster brothers and sisters, he wants to walk to you to be cuddled, but he can’t – and he’s counting on rescue to help him. Hogan has seen veterinary specialists and rescue is buying him a specially designed canine walker or wheelchair to improve his quality of life.
